Farmer Step-by-Step Guide
This guide explains how to complete a Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) transaction using the Healthy Together app from the farmer perspective.
Step 1: Start a Transaction
- Sign in to the Healthy Together App
- From the main dashboard, select Start Transaction
Step 2: Confirm Your Selling Location
Before continuing, make sure you are set to the correct selling location (market or farm stand).
- Check the location shown on the screen
- If the location is incorrect:
- Select Switch Location
- Choose the correct market or selling location
This step is important to ensure the transaction is recorded at the right location.
Step 3: Enter the Transaction Amount
- In the Amount field, type the total dollar amount to be paid
- If needed, you may add notes in the Description field
(This is optional and can be used for your own records.)
Step 4: Scan the Participant’s QR Code
- Ask the participant to show their Healthy Together QR code
- Use your device to scan the code:
- Hold your device steady
- Center the QR code on the screen
Once scanned, the app will move to the authorization step.
Step 5: Have the Participant Enter Their PIN
- The app will prompt for the participant’s 4-digit PIN
- Hand the device to the participant so they can enter their PIN privately
This step authorizes the transaction.
Step 6: Review and Complete the Transaction
After the PIN is entered, the participant will see a screen on your device showing:
- Transaction amount
- Remaining balance on their card
- Other transaction details
- Ask the participant to review the information
- Have them press Complete
You will then see a confirmation screen showing:
- The completed transaction
- The participant’s updated balance
Step 7: Finish and Prepare for the Next Customer
- Press Done
You’ll be returned to the main dashboard, ready to start your next transaction
