Keeping your app up to date ensures you get the latest features, security improvements, and bug fixes. Follow the steps below to enable automatic updates on both Android and iOS devices.
For Android Devices
Open the Google Play Store app.
Find the Play Store icon on your home screen or in your app drawer and tap it.Go to your account settings.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner, then select Settings.Enable auto-updates.
In Settings, tap Network preferences.
Select Auto-update apps.
Choose one of the following:
• Over any network – updates will happen on Wi-Fi or mobile data.
• Over Wi-Fi only – updates will only download when connected to Wi-Fi.Save your choice.
Tap Done. Your apps will now update automatically.
For iOS Devices (iPhone or iPad)
Open the Settings app.
Look for the Settings icon on your home screen and tap it.Go to App Store settings.
Scroll down and tap App Store.Enable automatic updates.
Under Automatic Downloads, toggle on App Updates.Optional: Allow updates over mobile data.
If you want updates to download when you are not on Wi-Fi, toggle on Automatic Downloads under the Cellular Data section.
Tips to Keep Updates Running Smoothly
Keep enough free storage space on your device.
Connect to Wi-Fi regularly if you choose Wi-Fi only updates.
Restart your device occasionally to keep everything running well.
If you ever want to update an app manually, you can go to the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android), search for the app, and tap Update.
